A 2022 Scotty Cameron Phantom 5S gave me a useful chance to test something I’m learning about centre-shafted putters.
It isn’t just about the shaft being in the middle.
For me, the way the shaft enters the head, the thickness of the blade section, and the placement of the alignment line all matter.
This older 5S might sit somewhere between the stability I liked in the 5 OC and the natural flow I wanted from the 5.5.

It's a shame it's not in the current line up. I guess that's probably due to the OC model.
