Watch out for the grip weight. Too heavy will change your rhythm and feel. The original Designed by Arnold Palmer weighed slightly less than 320 grams. Finally, Mr Palmer never used the Wilson model they copied a MacGregor Tommy Armour he had modified. Old Reliable. He continued using and modifying until after 64 Masters
Great read and appreciate the feedback! A long time ago I had an OG 8802. It was my favorite club, and easily my most favorite putter. Somehow, for some reason, I have no idea what ever happened to it and have been using a Scotty for 16 years. Just ordered a custom 8802 and it delivers on Wednesday - absolutely cannot wait!
Great post Keith! If you want to find a round putter grip, Avon makes the one Edel used, or you can maybe buy the Grip 1 grip from Golfworks it is ver similar.

Thanks. I don't know if it's possible in Substack comments, but I'd love to see a picture of that when you get it.

I may have done I can send you if you wish!!
That sounds like a good excuse to come and visit Scotland 😉
