I know when I ordered my Tour X V3 (short slant neck) a few years back that there are quite a few custom options that are only available / visible to the authorised retailers. Mine was 36", 3° upright light, standard loft and lightweight head. I also got to pick the grip - no up charge for what I ordered either which was good. I know TM also have the MySpider programme which gives quite a few upcharge options - not sure about a neck though...
I'm actually contemplating swapping to this years model as I prefer the new sightlight and finish (Rory Style) to the one I have. The quality of the finish has also improved over the years - not a mark on mine despite a couple of years use.
The My Spider custom doesn't apply to the Tour V (yet) unfortunately. The fitting later in the month will be really interesting. I'm putting the finishing touches to the Tour X Rory review at the moment, so it will be out soon. I really do like the colour and the finish on these new heads.
Unfortunately it's not an option on this model (yet) and is currently only for the Tour, Tour X and Tour Z. I'm sure someone else will correct me if thats not the case. Not all Spiders are equal......
Do you normally play 33 length or was that what was available as a demo? Do you think it would make much difference if you had tested with a 34 length?
That was the demo length, but after my recent AimPutt review, it is definitely a good length for me. I could get into a good setup and see my line well at that length. I think the negative Vertex data came primarly from not calibrating it correctly for lie. On-green performance is key!
I have experimented with different putting stances, postures, etc... over the years and tried various lengths from 33 - 36. All blades. With shorter putts I want to be in an old school set up like Jack. The longer the putt the more an upright set up feels. Always was curious about that and if anybody else has experienced it.

Another awesome review Keith thanks. One question though one of my friends has a spider with a slant neck. Are you sure this is not an option?
